Our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) for Quote Community and any other social app published by Pablo García Aldehuela (Berlin, Germany). They work together with our Terms of Use.
1. Zero tolerance
We do not allow any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers minors. When we find it:
- the content is removed immediately;
- the account is closed permanently and will not be restored;
- we report it to the authorities (section 5).
2. Who can use the app
Quote Community is only for people aged 18 or older. Everyone confirms this when they sign in. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
3. How the app is built to prevent abuse
- Text only. Users post short quotes of 20 to 200 characters. There are no photo, video or audio uploads, and profile pictures can only be chosen from portraits built into the app.
- No private messages. The app has no direct messages or private chat, so users can't contact each other privately through it.
- Automatic filters. Before a quote is published, the app blocks links, email addresses, emoji and special characters, and words from a banned-word list. Sharing contact details is against our rules, and quotes that do are removed.
- Repeat offenders. Users whose quotes keep being removed are blocked from posting, and after that a moderator checks each of their new quotes before anyone else can see it.
4. Reporting and moderation
- In the app: every quote has a Report action, and users can report and block other users.
- Automatic hiding: a quote reported by 3 different people within 24 hours is hidden at once until a moderator reviews it.
- Human review: a moderator reviews every report. Anything involving minors is handled first, on the same day whenever possible.
- Without an account: anyone can report concerns by email (section 6).
5. Reporting to the authorities
We report suspected child sexual abuse or exploitation to the police in Germany, where we are based, and, where relevant, to the authorities in the country of the people involved. For cases connected to the United States, we also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). We keep the information the authorities need, and we follow their instructions and valid legal orders.
6. Contact for child safety
Our designated contact for child safety is the operator, Pablo García Aldehuela. To report a concern, or if you are an authority asking about our practices, write to support@pablocoding.dev with "Child safety" in the subject. These messages are read first. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police straight away.
