Delete Account

This document outlines the account deletion process and data retention policies for Quote Community (and other applicable apps published by Pablo Garcia Aldehuela).

1. How to Delete Your Account

We provide two methods for you to request the deletion of your account and associated data.

Method A: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

If you currently have the app installed, you can delete your account directly from within the app. Deletion is immediate and there is no waiting period.

1. Open the Quote Community app.
2. Sign in to your account.
3. Navigate to the Profile tab.
4. Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top-right corner.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings menu.
6. Tap "Delete Account".
7. Confirm your choice in the prompt.

Method B: Manual Deletion Request

If you no longer have the app or cannot access your account, you can request manual deletion via email. Please email support@pablocoding.dev from the exact email address associated with your account to verify your identity and authorize the deletion.

2. What Data is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following personal data is deleted immediately and permanently:

• Your profile information (username, avatar).
• Your email address and sign-in credentials (Google/Apple identity links).
• Your voting history on other users' quotes.
• Your personal achievements, badges, and streaks.
• Your notification preferences and device tokens (used for push notifications).

3. What Data is Retained (Anonymized)

To preserve the integrity of the community rankings and history for other users, the following data is retained but strictly anonymized. All links connecting this data back to your identity are destroyed immediately:

• Quotes Submitted: Any quotes you submitted to the community, along with their vote counts, remain publicly visible. However, they are reassigned to a generic "deleted user" placeholder.
• Moderation Reports: If you had previously reported someone else's content for moderation, the report is retained so our administrators can review the flagged content. The link to your identity as the reporter is removed.

Retention Period: There is no retention period beyond the immediate anonymization described above. Deletion of your personal data is immediate.
