This Privacy Policy explains how Pablo García Aldehuela (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the OliveOdds: Sports Predictions mobile application for Android (“App”), available on Google Play (Package ID: dev.pablocoding.oliveodds). It is drafted in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - GDPR) and other applicable privacy regulations.
Important Notice on the Nature of the Service: OliveOdds is an analytical and statistical sports prediction tool and personal bet tracker. OliveOdds is not a bookmaker, does not accept or place bets, does not facilitate real-money wagering, and is strictly restricted to adult users aged 18 and older.

Technical Collaboration: The predictive statistical models, prediction data feeds, and cross-platform backend infrastructure supporting the App are operated in technical collaboration with Vedado UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (Berlin, Germany), acting as a technical infrastructure and service provider subject to European data protection standards.
2. What Data We Collect and Why
We follow the principle of data minimization (GDPR Art. 5(1)(c)). We only collect data that is strictly necessary to deliver the features of the App, sync your statistics, and maintain operational stability.
2.1 Account and Bet Tracker Data
- Email address and encrypted password: Processed securely via Google Firebase Authentication when you register an account in the App. This enables you to sync your purchases, bet logs, and settings seamlessly across your Android devices. We never have access to your plain-text password.

Firebase User ID (UID): A pseudonymous, randomly generated unique identifier used to link your personal bet logs, app preferences, entitlements, and purchase verification tokens in Firebase Realtime Database (
users/{uid}/bets_v2). - Betting log data: The bets and logs you choose to manually input into your personal tracker (odds, match details, stake amount, bet status/outcome, and bankroll values). This data belongs to you and is stored solely to provide your personal tracking analytics.
2.2 Purchase and Subscription Data
- Subscriptions, season passes, and in-app upgrades are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing (Google LLC).
- No Financial Data Stored: We do not receive, process, or store your credit card numbers, debit cards, PayPal credentials, or banking details. Google handles your payment transactions directly and securely.
- Google Play provides our backend with an obfuscated purchase token and subscription identifier to validate your active subscription tier and grant you Pro features.

Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions: In accordance with Google Play developer guidelines, cancelling a subscription must be done directly through your Android device via:

2.3 Diagnostic, Crash, and Performance Data
- We integrate Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring (provided by Google LLC).
- When an unexpected crash occurs, anonymous stack traces, device model, operating system version, memory status, and app state at the moment of the crash are collected.
- This telemetry data is aggregated and does not identify you individually. It is utilized solely to triage technical bugs, prevent regressions, and improve overall app reliability.
2.4 Advertising and Analytics Data (Free Version)
- In the free tier of the App, contextual and personalized advertisements are served via Google AdMob.
- Consent via Google UMP: Prior to displaying personalized ads to users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, the App displays the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog. With your explicit consent, AdMob may process your Google Advertising ID (GAID), app interactions, and an approximate (coarse, IP-derived) location.

- Ad-Free Guarantee for Pro Users: Subscribers to any OliveOdds Pro tier (Monthly, Annual, Season Pass) enjoy an entirely ad-free experience. When a Pro subscription is active, AdMob ad requests are disabled.
2.5 Local Storage on Device (No Browser Cookies)
As a native Android application, OliveOdds does not use browser cookies or tracking web pixels. Instead, local configuration settings (e.g., UI preferences, dark mode, cached prediction fixtures, and local session tokens) are stored locally on your device via:
- Android Jetpack DataStore: Modern asynchronous key-value data storage.
- Encrypted SharedPreferences: Device-level security storage for sensitive session keys.
You can wipe this data at any time by uninstalling the application or selecting "Clear Storage" in your Android system settings (Apps → OliveOdds → Storage → Clear Data).
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)
Under Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), every processing of personal data must rely on a recognized legal ground. We process your data based on:

Necessary to perform the contract to which you are party. This includes providing the predictive feeds, creating and maintaining your account, delivering paid Pro features validated through Google Play, and synchronizing your personal bet records across your devices.

Analyzing aggregated crash telemetry via Firebase Crashlytics to guarantee stability, diagnosing software defects, securing backend endpoints against abuse or scraping, and preventing fraud. Our legitimate interest does not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.

4. Third-Party Data Processors

5. Account and Data Deletion
In compliance with Google Play Store User Data policies and GDPR Article 17 ("Right to Erasure"), you have the right to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time through either of the following methods:
This is immediate and irrevocable.
- Open the OliveOdds App on your device.
- Tap the Settings icon (bottom navigation or top bar).
- Select Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the prompt.
Result: Your Firebase Authentication profile, credentials, and all recorded bets under users/{uid} are deleted from our production database immediately.
If you have already uninstalled the app or lost access to your device:

Please send the request from the email address registered with your OliveOdds account. We will verify ownership and process the deletion within 30 days, sending you a final confirmation upon completion.
Deleting your OliveOdds account does not automatically cancel an ongoing subscription purchased via Google Play. Subscription billing is handled directly by Google. To prevent further charges, you must cancel your subscription through Google Play Store before or after deleting your account.
6. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you are entitled to exercise your statutory rights under Chapter III of the GDPR:
- Right of Access (Art. 15): You can request a confirmation of whether your data is being processed and obtain a copy of your personal data.
- Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten", Art. 17): You can request the permanent deletion of your data as detailed in Section 5.
- Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18): You can request the restriction of processing under certain legal conditions.
- Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): You can request to receive your betting history and account data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON).
- Right to Object (Art. 21): You may object at any time to the processing of your data based on legitimate interests.
- Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7(3)): Where processing is based on consent (AdMob personalization), you can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future in the App settings.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to file a complaint with a competent Data Protection Authority, such as the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos — AEPD, www.aepd.es) or the local authority in your EU member state of residence.

7. Children’s Privacy (18+ Requirement)
OliveOdds is an analytical sports statistics application strictly intended for adult individuals aged 18 years or older.
We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or process personal data from children or individuals under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your minor child has created an account or provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at supportoliveodds@pablocoding.dev. Upon notification, we will immediately delete the associated account and betting logs from our servers.
8. Technical and Organizational Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures (TOMs) to safeguard your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure:
- Encryption in Transit: All communication between the Android App, Firebase backend, and prediction APIs is strictly encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
- Firebase Security Rules: Our Realtime Database enforces granular, declarative security rules ensuring that users can only read and write their own betting records (
auth.uid === $uid). - Local Device Security: On-device persistence relies on modern Jetpack DataStore and Encrypted SharedPreferences leveraging the Android Keystore.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, technical, or legal changes. Any material updates will be communicated through an in-app notice or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
